Erotic Cowboy Ménage a Trois Romance, M/F/M, bondage, spanking, sex toys, HEA

Denver socialite Mandy Duncan is on the run from her ex-husband. She knows about his Ponzi scheme, and only she stands between him and jail. He’s determined to stop her from ever talking.

Mandy escapes to Samantha Callen’s ranch in Intrigue, Wyoming, and hires on as a wilderness guide. Distrustful of men, Mandy doesn’t want to be attracted to Samantha’s cousin, financial guru Vince Callen, or to his sophisticated lawyer roommate, Cameron Longworth, but she is.

Then Cameron and Vince’s ex-fiancée decides she wants them back. When Cameron tells her he’s found someone new, she decides Mandy needs to go.

When Mandy is shot, Cameron and Vince won’t let her out of their sight, and their passion explodes. Then she’s kidnapped. Frantic, Cameron and Vince risk it all to save her. How can they convince her to trust her heart again and want a loving ménage relationship?

My Thoughts:

Melody Snow Monroe is a new author to me and I did enjoy this book. This may be the ninth in a series, but it can definitely be read as a stand-alone. There is ménage sex, but also one on one and both are very hot and intense. I had no issue with the editing and felt the story was well written and flowed nicely.

Mandy is a woman on the run from an ex-husband who may do anything to keep her from testifying against him. To be on the safe side she tells no one where is going and is sure to not work as a teacher which Craig would expect. Working on Sam’s ranch as a guide for women Mandy runs into Vance and is immediately attracted to him. On top of worrying about her ex, she has a run in with her guys’ ex-fiancé. Is it a good idea to get involved with your bosses cousin? It worked out for Mandy.

Vance is instantly attracted to Mandy and brings her home to meet Cam. There weren’t any real issues with Vance and I loved him. Cam had issues; his ex-fiancé ran off with his ring and credit card and ran up a lot of charges. This is something Cam deals with and does so quickly.

The mystery is who exactly is trying to run off or kill Mandy. There’s shooting, fires and bombs involved. Is it the boys ex, Sharon or Mandy’s ex Craig? This is one of the things to figure out while you enjoy the interactions and very steamy sex between Mandy and her men. There were times I wished the three of them got intimate more instead of the one on one sex. I did pick this because of the ménage aspect, but overall this was an enjoyably hot read.

I recommend this for anyone who likes cowboys, ménage relationships, action, and mystery.

Excerpt for Nothing But Trouble : Book 1 of Love Me Some Cowboy-
His jaw tightened. Yes, there was something definitely wrong here. And money had nothing to do with it. It had everything to do with this beauty standing in front of him, who was clueless about what she was getting her pretty little hide into. “No,” he replied tersely.

“Mr. Buxton, I need your help.”

“Tourist season is in full swing. I’m sure you’ll have no trouble finding someone else.”

He turned his back to her and began walking along the fence toward the barn, almost forgetting… Abruptly, he glanced up and saw the charred remains of the barn. The place where all his troubles had started just one year ago. It hadn’t taken but a second for him to hear her boots digging into the dusty gravel behind him, jarring him from his thoughts.

“Then I’ll do it myself,” she said to his back.

His whole body stiffened. He angled back to read her face, to see if she was just being a spoiled rotten rich kid, trying to get her way, or if she was actually serious. Seeing her head held high and her arms crossed in front of her, he realized she was dead serious.

And dead she’d be if she stepped one boot into those mountains alone.

“You’ll do no such thing.”

Frustration flaring, he lifted his dusty hat and forced his fingers through the thick crop of black hair before returning the hat to his head.

“You just don’t get it, do you? You’re not asking me to take you on a theme park ride where you’ll get to see the wonders of the world at a nice safe distance. This is God’s country. The creatures that live up there don’t know civilization, and you are no better than them. You could–probably will–get killed if you go out there alone.” His lips twitched, taking a good long appraising look at the woman in front of him. “You might even chip a nail on that pretty hand of yours.”

[Erotic Futuristic Sci-Fi Cowboy Ménage a Trios Romance, M/F/M, spanking, HEA]

Abe Waverly isn’t looking for company when first Russell then Celina shows up. They know about loss just like he does, but can he trust them with more than just his home? Celina Berry fears becoming attached to either man, but what will become of her and her unborn baby if she doesn’t?
Russell Coggins wakes up after a bear attack in Abe’s home. Russell isn’t sure if he is welcome there or not, but he has time to decide while he is recovering. Then they find Celina who has just lost her husband and has been traveling alone. She’s pregnant and scared, unsure who she can trust.
Together the three of them become a family as they fight Mother Nature to survive in the deepest parts of The Border Lands. Learning to trust each other is more than just a need. It becomes necessity in order to survive.

My Thoughts:

This is a story that focuses on loss and love. Yes, it’s a ménage, and a great one. What I loved most was the developing relationship between the three and the fact that there was no one in immediate danger or that no one was trying to interfere with the relationship.

Russell, what can I say about him other that he’s a strong man with a soft heart and tender touch? He recognizes and accepts his feelings for Celina pretty much from the start and supports her in any way he can while still protecting her.

Abe is a man who has sealed not only his heart, but his person off from the world. He’s been living alone for eight years and finds it difficult to let himself care for others. Abe is scared of losing what he love’s most all over again.

Celina is pregnant and just lost her husband when Abe and Russell find her. It takes her a bit to deal with the feelings growing for the two men in relation to having lost her husband. She’s a strong woman who made a conscious decision to love again and her strength comes through.

I really like the fact that we get a fair amount of the story after everyone accepts the relationship and we got some time to meet the baby. Like I said earlier this is an erotic ménage and the sex was very hot and well written, but the love story was what made the book for me.

When Lexie’s boyfriend abuses her, Quade and Jared step in to help. They want to take care of her the rest of her life. Lexie isn’t so sure that a relationship with two men can work when the one she had didn’t. Still, she takes a job as their cook while saving money to leave.

Quade and Jared set out to show her that ménage relationships work and especially in their town where there are others already living there. They have to convince her they love her before she takes the next bus out of town.

When they think they have everything under control, her ex steps in and tries to sabotage their marriage plans. Lexie is convinced the men won’t want her after everything he has said. Will Quade and Jared believe his accusations about her scheming to marry them for their money, or will they trust that she really loves them?

My Thoughts:

Riverbend, Texas is town where many who enjoy polyamorous relationships have chosen to live. Best friends Jared and Quade new they wanted to have one wife for the both of them from a young age. Due to the fact that they were raised in town it was accepted and Jared’s parents had such a relationship.  Quade had a rough childhood and that gave him better insight into what Lexie was going through. The guys had to convince Lexie that they loved her and that she was worthy of being loved.  First they had to gain her trust. Trust that they weren’t going to change their minds about her, or have personality changes and suddenly start to beat her.  Jared and Quade are two very hot and handsome cowboys with soft, loving centers.

Lexie feels stuck in a very abusive relationship. She doesn’t have much of a backbone throughout most of the book. It has been beaten out of her. It takes the love of two cowboys to help Lexie rebuild her courage. When her boyfriend beats her unconscious Jared and Quade get her to the hospital and convince her to take a job as their cook. Lexie takes the job to earn enough money to get out of town. She doesn’t realize the brothers gave her the job to protect her, keep her close to them, and allow them the time to “woo” her. Lexie has to fight her insecurities and the fact that everyone throughout her life has eventually left her. Lexie’s letting the past go and accept love was hard and sweet to witness.

This is a fast, enjoyable read. It has the soul mate thing going on. The guys see the girl and bam they’re in love/she’s the one. The sex was steamy, if a bit predictable. Then again not sure how many ways it can be done? 😉 I will say it was realistic, hot, and in no way cheaply done.  If you like hot cowboys, ménage, and just a touch of angst this is a book for you.

This book is for those OVER 18. It’s  erotica -> menage (M/F/M/M).

Kansas Heat

Kansas Heat (Kansas Heat #1) by Jenny Penn

Release Date: June 11, 2010
My Rating: 3/5

Amanda Johnson only has one thing in mind when it comes to Cody Reese. The cowboy has another, and it involves both his brothers. Haunted by their past, Knox, Jace and Cody have their reasons for minding secrets as they lure Amanda into their wicked fantasies.

Wary of men thanks to her own silent demons, Amanda gives into her passion only to find her trust shattered. When things turn deadly, Amanda begins to wonder whether love will lead to her salvation, or destruction.

My Thoughts:

A little conflicted over this one. I wanted to really love it, but I didn’t. It was good and a very good size for an eBook. My issues are personal opinions. It was well written and the characters really were developed and brought to life.

Knox was too cruel. I get that the author wanted there to be strife and conflict between him and Amanda, but I just think it went overboard. I would never have forgiven him for some of the things he said and did.  He would only call me a whore once and never see me again. It wasn’t just his hurtful words but his entire attitude. Knox had a problem falling/being love and took his confusion and pain out on Amanda. It wasn’t until after the final straw for Amanda and she left that he came to accept that he wanted her. I don’t there was enough remorse or groveling from Knox for Amanda to take him back.

I loved Jace.  He truly loved Amanda and treated her accordingly. He was there for her emotionally and tried to build her up not down. My only issue is that he didn’t beat the shit out of Know enough.

Cody is the baby brother and his personality showed it. He was all about fun and getting what he wanted. He devastates Amanda with his obsessive loyalty to another woman. Cody also says something that degrades Amanda and shows his immaturity in a public setting. He truly felt horrible for his actions, but it was more than Amanda could take. It took him awhile to admit to himself and a little longer for him to tell Amanda that he loved her.

Amanda is a woman with some self-worth issues. I felt as if she was too confrontational to hide insecurities. Sometimes, Amanda would be antagonistic to a fault and then get all hurt when the reaction she gets is appropriate. Then she takes more, of what I would consider hateful and borderline abusive, than anyone ever should from the brothers, especially Knox. Amanda does eventually leave the brothers due to their behavior, but this was after she went back and forth a few times.  It took her a bit, but Amanda gets some backbone and stands up for herself.

Maybe it was a little too long. The relationship between the brothers and Amanda seemed to take a circular route and too long to develop into something loving and healthy for it got a little aggravating. It ends with more of a HFN then a HEA. It feels like the story should continue with the next book, not a conclusive ending.

Review of Wings of Love (Cowboy Fever #1)

Wings of Love (Cowboy Fever #1) by Karen Wiesner
Publisher: Whiskey Creek Press
Review Source: Author
Release Date: September 15, 2011
My Rating: 4/5
When Wings “Mac” Mackenzie falls in love, it’s for life, and interior designer Amanda Grant is the woman he has his heart set on. When he asked her to move in with him at his fixer-upper ranch in Fever, Texas–the dinky little cattle town he and his brother grew up in—he’d expected to be there with her often. Unfortunately, as co-owner of a family-owned engineering firm, Mac finds himself spending more time than ever overseeing projects after his younger brother becomes a family man. With Amanda making the house a home for them, he struggles to get his business matters in hand so he can settle down with her, the way he longs to. An on-the-job injury puts his life in perspective. Eager to become a full-time rancher, he returns home at Christmas-time, ready to make the ultimate commitment to Amanda–only to find her long gone

This is a very sweet story of love and the fear to love.  The journey that Amanda and Wings take to come to terms with their pasts comes through well. I felt their conflicting emotions and confusion on how to interpret each others words.  There were times I want to strangle one or the other of them for their shear blindness to the obvious.  I do understand past hurts hang around way longer than they are welcome, but it didn’t stop me from wishing these two would just get over it;)  I was surprised that I got to know the main characters so well and got as invested as I did in the outcome for the length of the story.

Amanda has picked the wrong men all her life. She has wasted time on guys who are after her for one thing or another and then leaves when they don’t get it. It has left Amanda feeling as if she’s not worthy of love. Then along comes Wings and yet again she falls hard and fast, in 6 days fast. Due to her past she’s left confused and feeling like the fool yet again when he leaves on business and treats her differently.  He becomes cold and distant when he calls, so after three months of this she packs and goes
home.  This time hurts more than ever before.  Will he come after her or not care at all?

Wings is a man who has learned that women don’t want to be smothered, their careers come first.  The idiot women he’s dated in the past have left the minute he mentioned commitment, claiming they didn’t want to be tied down to family their careers came first.  He’s learned his lesson well.  After getting Amanda to his ranch to decorate it, as a way to get closer to her, he gets called out of state on business.  The problems start right away with Wings not wanting to “scare” her off by getting too serious too soon.

I recommend this to anyone of all ages who like cowboys and sweet love.

It will be released in Cowboy Fever Series collection in May 2013
